Life isn't a matter of milestones, but of moments.

This weekend was mostly spent either at the pool, washing clothes, starting to pack or cleaning the house - I'll let you guess which was more fun! Eric has found the best way to get Lainy to take a nap is by swinging her on the porch swing but we still haven't found a recipe to make it a long nap!

West Virginia Weekend

We went to WV this weekend for Eric's family reunion. Lainy did great and was a hit with everyone. She had to adjust to sleeping in the pack and play the first night but did great the second night. She met lots of family for the first time and had lots of pictures taken. On Sunday she had her first sink bath, affectionately called "the WV bath." She started the bath sitting up but wanted to lay back and kick a little bit at the end. She was so worn out from the trip that she went to bed early tonight.

Good Times!

Lainy had a big extended member/guest weekend. It was her second member/guest but last time she was quite small. First we had dinner at Jon and Susan's on Thursday evening and visited with family and friends. The sugar high from Susan's goodies gave us enough energy on Friday to go to Diane's pool with Ryane, Rae and Rikki and really enjoy ourselves swimming and sitting by the pool while Eric played golf. Friday evening Lainy stayed with her grandparents Sharp while Eric and I went to member/guest dance. We had a blast and got in late. I think I am still trying to catch up. Saturday we went to the CC pool for another day by the water then went to dinner which was yummy. Today we are recooperating and watching the storms pass by. Lainy had great fun and continues to be the social butterfly.

Happy July 4th

Lainy had a big 4th of July holiday. First we went to a cookout on the 4th at my grandmother's house were she was loved and passed around. We then headed to Salem to see friends and went out to eat. As you can see below Lainy didn't have the money to pay for her meal and had to do a "table dance" at Applebees for tips. On Saturday, we went to a cookout at Chris and Gina's house followed by another get together at Brian and Nikki's house. Lainy didn't get into bed until about 11:oo or so last night and slept in until 8:30 this morning. She had fun playing with all the babies at Brian and Nikki's house and wasn't about to go to sleep to miss anything. Along with all the holiday excitement she tried eating squash and loved it - so she is through all the veggies and so far no allergies, yeah!!!!!

Five Months Old

Lainy is five months old today - it's so hard to believe. She is rolling over, laughing, eating veggies and getting frustrated because she can't crawl to what she wants. She seems like she changes a little more each day. She is definitely a social butterfly (takes after Eric) and loves to be around people, noises and where the action is. She loves being outside (Eric again) and will calm down if you walk outside with her or swing on the porch. We couldn't ask for a better sleeper. She sleeps 9 to 11 hours a night!! I can't remember what life was like without her or what I did with all my time.
