Mom, Look At Me!

This was Lainy this morning when i was getting ready for work. I looked over at her and it was as if she was saying, "Wow look at me!" She's a mess!!

Too Fast For Us

Yesterday Lainy was suppose to be taking a nap and I heard this noise over the monitor and thought what is that? I went to checkin on her and she was standing in the crib and jumping on the mattress, falling over and then getting herself back up! I couldn't believe it. Then she came down stairs and proceeded to stand up at her toy basket several times and look over into it. So crawling on Thursday and now standing, what next the White House? Ha ha. October Weekend

Lainy had a big weekend. She continues to crawl everywhere and is beginning to realize what she can really do with this new talent of hers. Her Aunt Nenny came to visit this weekend and kept her for me while I went to Sarah's baby shower. They both survived! We watched the game with friends on Saturday night and she stayed up as long as she could but went out right before halftime. She's probably glad she did given the ending. Then her Memaw Sharp visited her on Sunday. Lainy got a new toy and some new cool clothes. She'll be the trendiest girl on the block. She ended the weekend with her favorite thing, a bath!!

She's Crawling

Well, Lainy started crawling tonight! Eric and I were eating dinner and she was playing on the floor and just took off after her duck and book. After that she did it like she had been doing it forever, food is a good motivator! Video to soon follow....

Pumpkin Farm

Today we went to a pumpkin farm with Rikki, Rae and Ryane. Lainy had fun watching everyone and everything. She enjoyed playing in the flowers, on the tractor and pretending to be different characters. Check her out!

Freaky Friday

The day started off at 4:00 am with Lainy with crusty eyes, a cough and sitting in the steam for about 30 minutes. Then a trip to the Doctor first thing in the morning where we were told Lainy had her first ear infection and had to be put on antibotics and eye drops because her eyes were so yucky. She seemed to feel a little better so we went down and watched the big Giles Homecoming Parade. She liked watching the fire trucks and all the people. We decided to get subs from Papa's for dinner and while we waited for our food, we rode over to see what Rikki and the girls were doing. Lainy decided to play in the leaves with them for a little while and we also got a nice family picture. Hope tomorrow starts out better.....

8 months old!

Believe it or not, Lainy is 8 months old! She is still trying to go forward instead of backwards but is transitioning from laying to sitting to laying to sitting. She gets where she wants to go, even backwards. I caught her in her crib this morning on her knees trying to pull up. We lowered the mattress earlier in the week, whew! She has started moving her fingers to wave bye bye instead of just her hand. She is a chatter bug - definitely can understand bye-bye and ma-ma when she is upset or wants something. There are other jabbers that we have not figured out yet. She loves to jump in the jumparoo and look at her touch and feel books. She's doing great - moving too fast for us.
