She Did It!

Lainy finally rolled over! She was on her stomach with her head back looking at one of her toys on her floormat this morning and flipped on over. I turned her back over and she quickly did it again. I then reached for the video camera and she acted like she had no idea what I was trying to encourage her to do so that the world would believe me. However, after taking a little cat nap, she decided she would let me prove it to the world.....

Laughing and Splashing

Well, another week has gone by and Lainy is a week older. This morning she got into her new saucer toy, she is still a little wobbly in it but does okay. She was amazed by all the toys at her fingertips.
She laughed out loud for the first time today. The first time she was playing with her floor toy and laughed at it. Then she laughed at my grandma Pyles this afternoon and made her day. We hope to get it on video soon.
She is still trying to roll over, she is almost there. I guess we just have to find the right motivator to get her all the way over. She also is a crazy girl in the bathtub now. Eric and I may need to start wearing wetsuits, we are as soaked as she is by the end.
She has become a TV watcher if you let her. We were trying to dry her off from her bath tonight and she couldn't keep her eyes off "The Deadliest Catch", see below. Eric was excited (hoping she'll be a fisherwoman).

Long Week

Well, I went back to work on Monday and it has been a long week. As the week went on it did get a little easier but leaving Lainy has been one of the hardest things I have ever done. Even though I knew I was leaving her in good hands each time and home early, it was still difficult. Even worse, she didn't want to sleep the first few nights and was like she sensed something was up, so she was up every two hours on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights - she didn't even do that as a newborn! I was a walking zombie for a few days but survived. Then Eric left on Thursday to go to his parent's house and was gone all weekend, so it was a girls weekend. It was kinda nice to have some one on one time with Lainy after the pain of leaving her all week. We caught up on some sleep, played and practiced talking and trying to roll over!

Our Late Night Talks....

Lainy and I like to have nightly talks before her bath where she tells me about her day and what she wants to do the next day. She has really become vocal in the last couple weeks!

Time Flies

I can hardly believe that Lainy is three months old today and I have to go back to work on the 12th. The last three months have flown by, seemed like the pregnancy went as fast as a snail with all the anxiety along with it but the last three months have gone in the blink of an eye. Lainy is doing good - now sleeping in her crib for naps and at night. She has the sniffles today and maybe getting a little cold but otherwise doing well. She likes to chew on her fist instead of her pacifier which is good and bad but it helps her put herself back to sleep. She is moving into her 3-6 month clothes and has some cute dresses I can't wait to put on her. She smiles and coos all the time, especially in the mornings when she is in the best mood. She has gotten into a routine with eating, naps and especially at night with loving her bath, rocking with mom and getting into her bed.

We had our pictures taken at Sears yesterday to mark her 3 month birthday, thanks to Aunt Brooke, who gave us an awesome gift card to have them done. Lainy got bored with the pictures fast and only cooperated for a few mintues but we got a couple good ones of her. She decided she didn't like the original shirt we put on her and spit up on it during the first picture and had to have a wardrobe change. As we were looking at the pictures, she decided she was done, fell asleep and stayed that way through mom and dad having dinner together.

Today we took some pictures to remember the three month mark and then took some pictures with dad with his second turkey of the year.
